Name of gauge plug

I am replacing the speedometer on my boat. The new gauge requires a ground, constant 12v and keyed 12v., They attach to the gauge on 3 big screw posts. The posts are in kind of a triangle shape. The other gauges on the boat have a plug that connects to all 3 posts on the back of the gauge with a wire for each one going. I would like to match that if possible but can't find that the hell it's called. Sound like anything anyone recognizes?

got a pic? most likely you simply need a ring terminal to connect to the studs

Short of a pic, do you brand the brand and/or link to where you got it?

I'll see if I can snag a pic tomorrow. I could definitely use a ring terminal. I was just trying to match the plugs on the boat. Maybe they are model specific to the boat.

The boat builder bought crates of instruments, nothing special about them. What brand or a link to where you bought it would help.

It's not the instrument that I am trying to match, it's the plug that is on the boat wiring harnesses. They are Faria gauges if that makes a difference. It's pouring out today, so can't get an accurate pic of the actual plug. But I've attached a pic I found online that looks like the back of my gauge. If you see the 3 posts on the left that are kind of in a half moon shape...the plug I am looking for covers all 3 of those posts. I have a feeling I'm just going to be using standard ring terminals :)

after 30 seconds of googling, looks like you CAN buy them, but every result is showing them in bulk of 100 pieces... you are probably using ring terminals...

What did you use for a search term? I googled it for 20 minutes and found nothing. Hence the question here

actually surprising these aren't available... My boat has the same connectors and Faria gauges are probably the biggest brand name in boat gauges... I'm assuming these were used on millions of boats.

actually Faria is late to the market after Smiths, VDO, Teleflex (now VeeThree)

however for the OP's quest, install ring terminals and go boating....... 99% of the installations with stud type gauges were done with ring terminals.

Yup!! That's them! I'm not gonna fret and will just go with ring terminal. Figured I would try to do it the right way and make it look nice. But not if I'm gonna end up with 99 connectors lying around :) Thanks guys!!
