Got our natural gas bill for last month today and I see what they mean when they said it was going up over 100%. The bill this month was $119 even. In the previous three months it was Aug. $43.09, Sep. $35.68, Oct. $16.00. Not real sure why October was so much less than August and September unless the meter reader wrote the reading down wrong and they're clipping me this month for it.

I'm really wondering what everyone else is seeing.

Eat more beans. ;) :p

No seriously, my family up north are all worried about the cost of heating this winter. My Mom up on the lake has even gone to a pellet heater.

As all the news reports have been going the winter supply was achived as of last week, the prices on furtures have been falling steady since,it will probably take some time to reflect on your bill,it's called gouging for profit

I heat the house with gas but haven't had to use it yet, have gas water heaters, cook with gas, have a gas clothes dryer. I'm just wondering if they didnt wreite something down wrong last month and are getting their mistake from me this month.

I also have a natural gas generator that ran for 20 hours during Katrina. I really wouldnt think a 20 hour run on the generator would have jumped it up as much as it is.

I heat with LPG. Last winter it topped out at $1.89/gal I called a couple of days ago and it was $2.15. If fuel gets to high I will have to move to a warmer climate for the winter months.
Heating oil is now about the same price as gasoline.

I have electric heat but now use a pellet stove and firewood to keep the heating bills in check.

Record deficit spending and decades of massive import/export trade imbalances are the cause of the significant erosion of the US dollar in the world. We're just beginning to pay the piper on all sorts of commodities
.
We have allowed our government to export our value added manufacturing jobs by surrending our sovereignty to unknown offshore WTO tribunals through GATT, NAFTA and now CAFTA trade agreements.

Batton down the hatches, bigger storms are coming! Time to secure your lines (of credit)!

Paid $2.10 for LPG last week.

Glad I have plenty of mesquite on the place. :)

At the well prices of NG have dropped from a high of $15/Kcf. in Sept to around $11.

As I speak the new gas well behind The Hideout is being prepared for fracturing. Let's hope it is "a screamer" as the drillers call high output wells.
