I bought the smart tabs for my boat last year and they are working excellent. I just wanted to say a few things about the company itself. I have never had a better experience in customer service as I have with them. Originally when installing I had a few questions as to location, questions answered within 24 Hrs. This year I had a part failure due to my mistake (one of my passangers) and the part was replaced. I want others to know in this world of I will take your money and once I have it forget you, this is not the case with this company. Keep this in mind if you are considering a purchase. Thank you for an excellent product and even better customer service. Keep up the good work.

Re: Nauticus Smart Tabs

I'm glad to read good words about Smart Tabs.
I just received my new set and will install them in the following week.
The main reason I've bought Smart Tabs for my boat is because my boat is Stern heavy and does lots of ''porpusing'' (hope it's the right word).

Re: Nauticus Smart Tabs

I will agree that customer service is awesome.

I have actually been using there products for I would guess about three years or so. I have abused them every way you can imagin on my Bass boats. Under normal conditions they are amazing. The only thing that seems to work them too hard is running in a 1-2' chop at speeds over 60 MPH. It beats the cr*p out of them as you could imagine. Due to this John is using me, (As well as others I'm sure), to help him improve certain components. Smart Tabs are in a constant process of improvement.

Absolutly ANY problem, (in warranty or not), should be addressed to John at Nauticus.

Re: Nauticus Smart Tabs

I posted on here a few days ago asking about these Nauticus smart tabs and the response I got was negative. I would like to ask some of you who are using them if you think they will work in my particular application. I have a 14 ft skiff with a 25hp two stroke. When loaded down I have a really hard time getting on plane, although once on plane I have no complaints. Will the smart tabs work in this situation? What do you all think about hydrofoils?

Work In Progress --- go to the Nauticus web site and look at the theory behind Smart Tabs. That document also discusses "foils" and the issues with them. I have used both and Smart Tabs are a far better solution for stern heavy boats, porpoising, and rough water handling situations. The help get stern heavy boats out of the hole easier and allow staying on-plane at slower speeds.

While you are reading on the Nauticus site just remember that as a user I say they will do all the things advertised. I have also used a hydrofoil, never again. I was not happy with it when I had it. I am very happy with Smart Tabs and the very excellent support you get from John at Nauticus, in fact I say call John and discuss your setup and he will guide to the best tab setup for your boat.

Re: Nauticus Smart Tabs

You are not going to chase fish in reverse but normal backing as in to the beach/slip/dock no problem.

Thanks for the answer. That's the only kind of backing I expect to do (the normal kind... ;) ).

Hitech, You are welcome, you may find that control in reverse is even a little better.
