Nauticus trim tabs, any use on 21' deep V?

Hello,

I've been looking at trim tabs for my 21' Deep V cuddy with a 200HP Mercury outboard and am interested in the Nauticus automatic tabs, mostly because they are cheaper than other options.

Most references about these trim tabs I have seen have been for smaller, lighter boats. My boat is on the heavy side for its size and am wondering if these things will do anything for me?

Also, will properly configured trim tabs help get better mileage?

I'm hoping to get up on plane a bit earlier and bring the bow down a bit while cruising.

Thanks!

Here is a link to a thread on another forum, just installed on a 220 IO.

Yes properly configured tabs and trim will increase fuel mileage, I now use 1 to 1 1/2 gallons less per trip from my house to the sound and back which is a little over 2 hours round trip.

You will get on plane quicker and with motor trim can put the bow where you want it, you will also be able to stay on plane at a slower speed, plus other benefits.

Well cool. It sounds like these are actually worth it. I really haven't seen anything bad reported about them and they are half the price or less of the non-auto models.

Thanks!
