Hello, My wife had to work today and I was off and our 11 yo. daughter school had an off day so we went to Pensacola to the Naval Air Museum. It was the first time that I've been and it's only an hour away. The cost for the museum is free but the Imax has a fee. We watched the Imax about the Blue Angels and then rode the similator for both the rides and the cost was only 26.50. The most amazing thing is that we ate lunch there at the cafe and it was only 10.25!. Anyway, the place is awesome!! All kinds of planes and a Mercury capsule and great displays. We didn't really go through it like we wanted..look at this, look at that.. Like two kids in a candy store. They have all kinds of simulators that you can get in and it was Great. The reason for this post is that if anyone is in the Pensacola area it would worth going to see this place. I don't know much about avaitors and planes but those people have the stuff. Anyways, I salute those who do that so that I may be able to watch in wonder. Thanks.

Another point of interest in that general area is the Battleship USS Alabama docked in Mobile Alabama which is not too awful far from the Naval air museum, if I remember correctly...

As usual, you are right on the money. The battleship and the submarine 'Drum' are less than an hour away. That is the next day trip we wil try to get in on.
