Re: neat old find

Still over priced...every piece of rubber on that boat will start cracking the minute sunlight gets too it and the carpet and vynil as well. I'd also be surprised if the compression is up to snuff after sitting for 28yrs the rings have likely taken a "set".

I've bought too many old cars that were shut up in a garage for many years to know.

Another thing that goes is thread.... I'd look for seams to start splitting on anything that's stiched together.

But the flooring itself will likely be fine.

It's better than buying a clapped out one, but unless you're a "ride around the lake boater" bow riders are useless to begin with.

And I love the urgency the guy tries to put in the ad.... "available for sale locally, won't last".... then why the hell pay listing fees on ebay???? I can assure you they've been trying to sell it locally with no success.

Yup.
I found a '74 T-Bird trihull in a garage this fall. Same story. It had an early 80's Merc 90 on the back with 5 hours on it. The whole setup looked showroom new. $1,000. A battery and impeller later, we were on the river.

I read the entire description before looking at any of the pictures. Very inconsistent. Might not of been too bad of a price two years ago.
