Does anyone have a 1996 Johnsol 112 SPL (20" shaft) owners manual that they woudl be willing to sell me or scan and e-mail to me? I have some questions about fuel/oil mix (ratio), battery charging, maintenence, etc. Thanks.

Hi Iceking....try the link below for an owners manual. Might also consider a service manual also. Lot more info in the service manual for care of your engine.

http://ww3.kencook.com/evinrudejohnsonmanuals/

Fuel mix is 50:1....16oz oil for 6 gal gas. It does have battery charging while underway.

EDIT: Should mention that you will need a TCW-3 rated oil for the gas. There are also some good synthetics and synthetic blends that will do better than the natural oil.

We might be able to answer some basic questions for you,but the best advice is to order the factory manual. You want #507126.This is a Service Manual. While it is no longer available from your dealer, try Kencook.com.
After market manuals may save you $10.00 or so,but they contain $100.00 or more less info on some things you will want to do.

DHP

OBJ,

Do you have any idea of the Amp output from the engine?

Since I have a 48 gallon tank, then just about a gallon of oil per tank of fuel will do it!

Do you have any comments on this engine. Don't worry, you will not offend me, as I paid nothing for the engine and plan to sell it at some point and repower with a used 4-stroke. But she runs good!
