What is a good repair/troubleshooting manual for my '74 Johnson 25hp Where can I purchase it ? Thanks

outboardbooks.com searayman13 on ebay. do not waste your $$ on Seloc or Clymer manual, get original Johnson.

The only thing I can find is a service manual which I already have and it does not cover a great deal of trouble shooting or much besides routine maintenance. Is there and actual original repair/troubleshooting manual?

The Johnson-Evinrude manuals are far, and away the best manuals you can get. They are well illistrated, include all spec's, and tell you what special tool you may need, along with it's part number. In the case of your 74, 25hp, the manual would cover that engine only, you don't skip back, and forth for the information you need. The pictures in these manuals in themselves will keep you in the proper direction. They are the best I've seen in any service manual.
