Need a run down of parts and tips!Please

I'm tired of looseing my boat for weeks,just for a water inpeller thats gone bad! Just ordered my manual for my 2000 merc 175 EFI,and now need a GOOD place to order all the needed parts that will be needed for the inpellar replacement, and also should I change or replace anything elese while I'm in there popup valve? This is my first time, need all the help I can get. It was just done about 3months ago and now I've lost pressure again and the over heat buzzard goes off within 15min. Just did sea-foam and checked the compression and all 6 cylinders are at 115psi!

I'm haveing a hard time useing the parts finder? My serial # doesen't match anything,am I doing something wrong?

Mine works OK, RXP. Sure ya got the number right? Dunno.<br /><br />iboats is a great site for ordering parts. I would recommend the whole water pump kit over the impeller only. It really only costs 15-20 bucks more. You could also try to find a local dealer for Mercs.<br /><br />I've never replace a poppet valve, so I can't comment there.<br /><br />Good luck!

You need to change the OTO, to OT0(zero) and it works just fine.<br />If the item that was done 3 months ago was the Poppet valve, probaly a bad spring, I read one of the post that the new springs were a piece of junk? for what it is worth. If it is the water impeller, probably was not installed properly. Go for the entire pump and be safe.
