Hello all, recently got a fish finder for my Carolina Skiff J16. I'm having some issues trying to find the best location for the transducer because I have a high water line. I have a heavier 48hp on it now, but I suspect there could be some water in the hull in the rear also (I'm the 3rd owner). the manual says that is should be just skimming the water, not submersed, but it also says it has to be below the hull. In my case the water line is about 6" above the bottom of the boat. Any recommendations? Thanks!

Needs to be all the way on the bottom of the hull. Appears from the holes this is where one was removed prior
