Need advice - throttle/shifter replacement

I'd appreciate some advice regarding replacement of the throttle/shifter in my Starcraft Nova. Took her out today for the first time this season and the casting for the shifter broke, luckily I was in gear and able to make it back to the dock. I love the look of the old shifter, but it never worked all that great, so I'm thinking of replacing with a new unit from our site sponsor (iboats).
