I have a 1996 Wellcraft Eclipse with a 4.3L VP V6 with the SX drive. I currently have two props, both 3 blade, the first is a Stainless 14.5 X 22, and I think it is a speed prop. I can get the boat up to 50MPH with this prop on but not much hole shot. The other is a 14.25 X 19 Aluminum Hustler that I picked up a few years ago. I need a good hole shot prop, don't care about going fast as my wife hates to go much over 40MPH. Both props max the motor out at about 4600RPM. I am looking at either a 17 or 18 pitch prop with 4 blades. I want to be able to leap out of the water not go fast though. I have also heard that the 4 bladers are smoother. Any thoughts on this.
