Need Alternator HELP!!!!!

I need to find a alternator that fits my 1988 Mercruiser 5.7 Alfa One 260 Hp. What is that thing thats attached to the rear of the alternator. I have the book but not showing enought details. My battery is always almost dead. I found some loose wires and one was disconnected? the picture is on the link below can anyone help. I'd like to get the replacement parts on e-bay. Wile you have it out you might as well take it to your local starter and alternator shop to have it rebuilt. I take both of mine in every few years or so. Costs me $50.00 for the starter and $45.00 for the alt. Better to be safe than sorry & way less expensive that buying new.

That's the Mando Alt..... The Housing on the back is the Regulator........<br />Merc. lists it at about $250.......<br /><br />
