need clip/latch for stereo cover

i have a weather/water cover for my cd player. it is the type that has the spring loaded pull down fiberglass shield taht is locked in the shut position with a small clip or latch. i'm missing the latch/clip that holds the shield down. i'd like to replace the clip without having to replace the whole cover unit. does anyone know where i could find this piece (new or used). my local boat shops haven't been any help.<br /><br />thanks for you advice

Do you know who makes the cover? Was it original to your boat?<br /><br />This one at Buy.com is only $14<br /><br />You can also find this type for about that same money.<br /><br />Maybe a Google search would get you closer to the manufacturer, then you could get in touch with them.

Considering the effort you will putting in finding this single piece, it may be simpler and cheaper (Time costs money) to buy a whole unit and use the part from that one. Most run between 10 and 30 dollars.
