Definately False. It's only a .5 built from 1939-41. I hope you weren't counting on that extra .1 horsepower. It might have given you another .2 more mph. But if it makes you feel better, it should get you another .3 miles on a tank of gas over a .6, and with today's gas prices, that could amount to as much as $2 gas savings in a year. These are just ballpark figures, mind you. It all depends on if you are alone in the boat, or have another .75 people along with you.
That's one motor I'd like to find to add to my collection. I believe it's the smallest outboard motor. They were nicknamed "egg beaters". Enjoy!
