need experts info on windlass pleasr

hello guys just bought a windlass of ebay, and need a few input,<br /><br />22 feet boat 4 awg marine tinned wires<br /><br />my problem is , should i use my propane torch to sarder the ends to the wires or should i just crimp them????<br /><br /><br />thats all i need to know so far <br /><br /><br />thanks

can i use the same sarder the plummer use when sardering copper pipes??? <br /><br />also best place to take the juice from ? <br /><br />battery post or from the battery switch??<br /><br />ground from the engine or from battery terminal??<br /><br />thats it. thanks for the quick info sea sick

Battery switch to breaker. This gives you access to a another battery should one fail.<br />Ground to engine at bellhousing stud where battery grounds are attached allows for ground to all batteries. Connecting like this and using the ALL/BOTH position gives plenty battery power for those looooong hauls.
