Need Gimbal Bearing replaced

Recently began hearing a failing gimbal bearing.. Just started to hear it maybe 4-5 hours running time ago... I have twin MercCruiser/Bravo1's so I suspect when I haul it, I should do both bearings... What else should I take care of while it is hauled? In the spring I had the drives resealed so they should be good. (and the gimbal bearings felt good then.. but....) Looking forward to your feedback... Thanks

Re: Need Gimbal Bearing replaced

need to find out why the bearings failed, usually its due to water intrusion. as the bearing has very little radial loading and no axial loads all it does is steady the input shaft and if it does not get wet will last many many years.
