Old jet boat, has basic terminal block wiring for starter, alternator, distributor, and some dash gauges. I sort of just want to leave this alone, it works, so why mess with it right.

I want to add accessories terminal fuse block to power accessories like blower motor (5A), blidge/float pump (5A), lights (2-3A), 12v/usb switch (5A), and hydraulic trim pump (20A).

When I turn the key to "ACC" I want it to then send power to the terminal fuse block via a relay (I am thinking 40AMP).

Can you recommend a quality relay to use? The ones I see on amazon seem to be mixed reviews and not really rated for vibration/water found in a marine environment.

Also I am installing a steering control switch for the trim control, I assume I need a relay for this also as the switch probably can't handle the current draw from the hydraulic pump.

So I would need 2 relays (on to control switched ACC power to a terminal fuse block) and another relay to control the switch for the hydraulic trim pump right (25A I guess, little bit of head room)? Am I missing something or what you would do to improve reliability

The circuit breaker is for power source to the pump, but wouldn't I still need a relay to control the trim switch? This is the trim switch. Is there an easier way to power directly to battery than 3 different cables, just use a bus bar?

https://www.amazon.com/T-H-Steering-Wheel-Control-Coiled/dp/B0000AXNQ9 (3 wires).
Are you completely rewiring? Yes, your pump would need a relay triggered by the trim switch, which would just need a low power feed. However I'd be surprised if your current setup doesn't have a solenoid at/near the pump

New wiring, installing a trim setup.
The hydraulic pump has 4 wires coming from it, 15ft in length designed to run up to the dash. I am connecting it to a 3 pin steering wheel switch, I believe I need a diode kit or relay to make the conversion from 4 wire to 3 up/down wire switch. The kit comes with a 4 point toggle switch which is why I think I need a relay in place up near the dash.

There appears to be solenoids directly on the pump itself. 4 bumps with 2 of the 4 wires running to them.

Is the toggle switch 3 or 4 wire? The solenoids are relays, so you just need a fused wire from the battery to them, and then low power to the switch to toggle the solenoids.
