Need help removing manifold. I've removed the carb, riser, etc. Removed the bracket holding the drive lube monitor. The only bolts I see left are the 2 that go through the center of the manifold. One is a bolt that goes through the manifold, into the head, near the front of the motor. The other is a stud with a nut near the rear of the motor. I've removed those and I can't find any other fasteners yet the manifold isn't moving. Before I smack it too hard with the hammer, are there any other fasteners? The service manual simply says "remove fasteners, remove manifold".

Thanks,
Tom

I think there should be four bolts or studs going through the manifold.

I believe the 2 studs that hold the drive lube monitor bracket go through the manifold also. So that would make 4. Sound right?

Ok with the new manifold in hand and the light of day, I found the last bolt. It was just below the carb flange and I just kept looking past it I guess. There are 5 total going through the manifold to the head (2 bolts, 3 studs). Then there's the bolt holding the alternator bracket to the manifold.

I've got just about everything back together, so I'm an expert now. :) So if anyone else needs help just let me know.
