I have a force 70hp. Not sure of the year. It has the black stator with a single switch box and 3 separate coils. Went to CDI and diagnosed a bad stator. Does anyone know the part# for this stator and switch box?

Outboardignitiondotcom has the parts for your engine.
There are two different switch boxes (power packs) and stators.
Check the id tag of or engine.

Low speed side went bad. I think it’s a good idea to change the switch box and the regulator. What do y’all think about the cheaper switch boxes and regulator on Amazon?

The cheapo's might just add more trouble??
I installed a customers parts, he said he got a "deal" n them.
The parts failed before he had a chance to get the boat wet.
Then again?? they might last forever??
Things like starters and hyd. T@T parts are Chinese JUNK!!

I stated this on another question that was asked, I purchased a Voltage Regulator off of Amazon only to find out it would not carry the current, (per my mechanic) bought one from Pro-Marine in Florida USA (double in cost) and it worked just fine and is still working. like Jerry said (and he is the man),, cheap is not always the best!
