There are so many options available so I figured I'd tap into you guy's opinion and experience bank's. I've already got a 2005 25 hp johnson and need a flat bottom 14-15ft aluminum boat that is as light as possible, but not rivited. Here are my options so far:
Weldcraft 14x42-$1099-230lbs(.080)
14x44-$1325-244lbs(.080)
Express 14x41-$1399-235lbs(.080)
15x46-$1599-270lbs(.080)
Alweld 14x42-$1175-wt? (.080)
14x48-$1395-wt? (.080)
Lowe 14x40-?????-200lbs(.064)
14x48-?????-240lbs(.072)

Any thoughts or suggestions? Thanks Jason

Unless you putting you boat in by hand, you didnt state whay a light boat was such a major issue?

Another note to put out there: I just upgraded from a Tracker Guide V 14 to a another Tracker Corporation Rig (Fisher) in the Super V 16 class. For the first few months this past spring I ran a 25hp Bigfoot in my 14 footer. The Hull weights in under 300 lbs. The motor weighed in at 176 not inculding the 40 lbs in the 6 gal. fuel tank and a 40 some odd lb marine battery.

The boat was really off balanced and was cramped. So i put the 25 on my new boat and dusted off the 9.9 and put it back on.
