Need help !! Doel Fin and Force ?

I tried to install a DoelFin Hydrofoil on my 98 Force 75HP and the holes will be very close of the skeg ( tab ) I am afraid to drill that and make the holes too close might crack the skeg housing - there is may be a way if I push the fins further in but I have no idea how there should be how far in - do they need to be flush with the end of the cavitation plate or they can be fit more inward. Does anyone had experience with DoelFin and Force motor ? Does another type will fit better ?<br /><br />Thanks <br /><br />Smoky

For clarification, I believe you mean the trim tab, not the skeg. The skeg extends down below your prop. The trim tab is mounted to the underside of your anti-ventilation plate.<br /><br />Now to answer your question, sorry, I can't. I have a Force 70, but have no experience with a Doelfin.<br /><br />I guess I would look around to see what others may be available before I started drilling. Good Luck.

Smoke-- I use the DOEL fins and I have mine bolted on with about 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 inches of tab behind them and they work ok.
