Need help Finding a Mercrusier part #

I'm looking for a part number on my 1976 Mercruiser MC 1 drive.<br /><br />I need the exhaust block-off plate #.<br /><br />The exhaust mounting on my gimball has (5) 3/8-16 bolts and is oddly shaped. It also has (3) O-rings for sealing.<br /><br />I was given one number: 861776A2 but this is not the plate according to Mercruiser Parts Express.<br />This plate is rectangular, and only has 4 bolts.<br /><br />Anyone have information on this, PLEASE let me know!<br /><br />I'll make one if necessary, but I'd rather buy the original.<br /><br />Thanks,<br /><br />H.

Homerr, I just finished this job last week on my '76 MC1 888 drive raw water cooled. Are you referring to the shutters at the base of the Y pipe or the block off plate between the manifolds and risers? Mine didn't have anything but the three o-rings. As mentioned above, call Kenny at sterndrives.com. He was about the only place I found that stocks the shutters for this motor.n I bet the part you were looking at is the plate that goes between the manifold and riser.
