Re: NEED HELP!!! FORCE 120

First thing I would check would be the stator if it has never been replaced. They are a known problem if it still has the original. Mine gave up on my 95 model 120in under 100 hours. Just a place to start. Mine did the same thing. Ran good one day and would not start the next.

Re: NEED HELP!!! FORCE 120

If you do a search you can probably find the correct answer. In my case I just pulled out my trusty ohm meter to see if there was continuity between the leads. Sure enough I had one side of my stator which had an open circuit. Make sure you disconnect batteries and unplug the wires to the stator. That is not the correct method but you can test by the resistance value. Somewhere on here I think I saw the correct resistance values, will have to look quite a bit to find them. Good luck.........Seldon

Re: NEED HELP!!! FORCE 120

Pull the flywheel and take the bolts out. Allen head bolts if I remember correctly. There was not adjustments you could make to the stator. It only went on one way. Probably would want to check the timing afterwards though. I bought my CDI stator online for about $150.00 shipped give or take. Just make sure you check your old one first or have it checked. Don't buy what you do not need. The reason I went ahead and changed mine when I did was I could have replaced all the major electical ignition components for the same price the dealer was going to charge to diagnose and replace the stator. I think at the time the wanted like $425.00 or in that neighborhood.

One thing about it, they are good to learn on. Fairly simple to work on etc. Do a Google search on Force Stator or something like that you will get a lot of hits. You can find one pretty reasonable online. Sorta like me learn to work on it so you can afford to keep it. Good luck....
