Can anyone tell me about this boat. All I know it is a 1976 16' Starcraft. It has a 35hp OB on it. It appears to be in pretty good condition for a restoration project. I can pick it up for $400.

Any chance this is a Super Sport with the windshield taken off.

I would like to make this a fishing boat so I'd be ok with the open floorplan. Just would like to know what I'm working with. Thanks for the help. Anyone ever restore one without the walkthrough windshield. If so I would love to see photo's.

I think it's way too shallow to be an SS. Not sure what it is though. Good project for sure!

My first guess is as you stated .I think it is a Super Sport less the left counsel and the windshield. Also some bow area stuff. Very easy to make it if thats what you want. I do not see it being any less deeper than my 16 SS i just sold.

I thought it might be a Starcraft Seafarer...but after comparing this pic with yours..I can see the side
railing does not match at all

did some looking on cl..Minneapolis....saw a few boats like yours but they don't list the model..
looks like a fishing boat....
I don't think you have a Supersport hull...the sides are not high enough to
be a Supersport..and look at the shallow dip in the transom...:confused:

Did some more looking...on CL..Minneapolis, MN saw this boat for sale and called the owner/seller...listed as 1974 Starcraft ...asked him what model it was...said it is a
Flambeau...(spelling might be wrong)...tried finding more of that model with a search...
came up empty using Flambeau..however another model looks very much like your boat...
try looking at "Kingfisher" Starcraft boats....looks like a close if not exact match...
let me know your opinion:D

I believe you are right on the Kingfisher. I found a nice restoration on this site where he made it a CC. Exactly what I want to do with it. I think I am going to buy and it and give it a try. Thanks for all the great info.

Well I bought it and started right away at the resto. Sure hope I'm not in over my head. Reading the projects make it look so easy. I'm committed to the project and have three little kids that can't wait to take her out on her first trip. My 4 year old son named the boat "bob", not sure what thats all about, but it stuck, so Bob it is. I will be sure to post pics of my progress and LOTS of questions. THank you to everyone on this forum. I would never have taken on this project without the help of this site. Stay tuned..........
