Can anyone help me with this part? I'm not sure if it's an oil line, or gas line. It was cracked and fell off. It is a tiny bit smaller than the lines that come from the oil reservoir.

I tried to upload a picture but it wouldn't let me, so I think the link below should take you to a picture of it. I have marked in RED where the line used to be.

Thanks again for any help.

It might be a little too much to ask, but if anyone knows the size, or part number, that would be great.

It looks like it's part of either the oil injection system or the fuel enrichment system, but it's hard to see without a closer view. That brass fitting looks like it's the 2PSI valve that comes off a T fitting to the oil pump.

Here is a close up. Again I used the red pencil to show where it runs from.

i think it’s an oil line due to some leaking oil in the area but the hose was completely cracked and dry in the inside.

also. Wouldn’t all the oil lines be the same size?

Definitely the oil injector. Just replace the hose, prime the oil pump and your all set.

BTW- depending on the age of your gas and oil lines, it's a good idea to replace them before they start to break down. It's cheap and it will save you a lot of engine problems in the future.

Thank you for the help, Would it make sense that this oil line is a different size than the other oil lines coming off the oil reservoir ?
And does anyone have a diagram that shows this part number so I can order one online?
Thanks again all.

I have the Mercury Service Manual for your engine and it's listed as Clear Tube [5.5 in. (139.7mm)] there's no part number.
