Hello All,
I have a 1988 Johnson V4 120Hp. The prop is stainless with no makers mark or name that I can find. The prop is held on by a round threaded piece with two holes on the face that are 180 degrees apart and are obviously for a spanner wrench. This threaded piece also has a slot for a cotter pin to engage. It is the same as a standard castellated nut except it is round with no shoulders. On the cotter pin head side there appears to be a plug with three indents in the face of the plug. My question is "how do I remove this plug without destroying it as I must reinstall it after I work on the lower unit internals?
Thanks to all in advance for any help.

Bondo,
I have found out what I have. It is a Sierra MP49160 prop lock. I need to know how to get the cotter pin out.
Thanks
