i have an 02 50h.p. merc classic 2 stroke. hit a piece of coral that took a big hunk out of one of the blades. i want to get a new prop but cant figure out the size. the prop is aluminum and the only numbers on the prop are ta2074t 12. is there some way to cross reference this number to some size and manufacturer? thank you for your help.

This number doesn't look right.

Being only one year old, the dealer could have an idea of what was fitted?

If you tell us what boat size and weight you have and how you use it, we may be able to point out the proper pitch. Your rpm at wot would be great to know, too.

Merc numbers are normally stamped on the hub between the blades they can be hard to read here but they are also in a recess on the drive face on the hub.Have you got the prop off??
