Hi guy's
I just bought an old orange Zodiac inflatable and it's in perfect shape except where the wooden back board that the motor mounts to has separated from the pontoons. There are big black rubber flaps that are firmly mounted to the wood back board. It looks like the glue they used to put it together when it was built just let go of the infatable rubber pontoons?
Does anyone know how,or what kind of glue I should use to repair it?
Please Let me know

Thank's

Depending on the fabric used, will need : 2 part pvc or hypalon glue, mek for cleaning, controlled room temperature, lots of patience and some bonding skills. Will need to reglue both sides of each rubber flaps and lower transom floor fabric as existing glue is already dried out. You better hope that seams, floor fabric and other glued parts don't follow next...

Hey, sounds like you know what your talking about, maybe from past experiences? you discribed to back of my boat perfectly.
I bought it yesterday and when I got home I put it together (all wood on floor) and aired it up and took a good look at it, and it is just like you said, the only other place I could see that is starting to come aprt is where the block thats glued to pontoon for the ore.
and this morning one fo the pontoons was low on air (leak somewhere) My question now is where can a guy find instructions on how to do the repairs you talked about?

Thank's for the info

Re: need help in repairing Zodiac

Determine whether your boat is PVC or Hypalon (my guess) then follow the appropriate set of instructions contained in this link. http://www.nrsweb.com/repair/inflatable.asp?tn=50 If you are working with Hypo use the Pennel Orca instructions. That's the new and improved version of the stuff. You'll also be able to get everything you need (including great help over the phone) from them. Good luck.

You can also contact white water designs in Eugene Oregon. They are great people, have experience with both materials, and all the supplies you would need.
