Need Help Lower Unit

I have a 1984 Johnson 50hp I am having a lot trouble getting the carrier bearing housing out.<br />it has only three bolts holding it on. It does not have the two theaded holes on the end of the carrier. I have a puller that I been using on it, and i have applyed heat to outside of it.Do you know of anything else I could try. hello<br /> do you have the puller tool that OMC made for it or a jaw puller? if you use a jaw type puller on the edge of the carrier odds are you will break it. here on our briny pond I use the OMC puller and lots of oxy/acetylene. gotta love smoke.<br /> good luck and keep posting
