Need Help on Prop Selection 1990 150 GT Johnson

I was advised on good authority that my 4 blade Stainless Steel Prop on my 150 GT Pro Series Johnson motor is to much prop for my boat ( 19.2 ' Nitro ). I haven't owned the boat that long but have taken it on the lake once. It seems that it takes longer than I would have expected to plane up out of the hole. Once planed up the motor is a monster and runs super fast.

I'm not looking for anything special or over the top specs on a prop. Just looking for general purpose specs that the engine would run most efficiently.

Would appreciate any suggestions.

Hard to make any recommendations without knowing the current pitch of that 4 blade prop, and the max rpms that your engine will achieve at WOT when running it. That engine should be propped to run at 5500 at WOT.

We need you're prop size, lightly loaded wot rpm and gps speed.
Are you trimming down for hole shot?
