Need help on removal of throttle cable

Hi i was wondering if anyone here have the diagram on removal of both cables (throttle and the otherone) on the outboard engine. I have remove it for the box and now i'm trying to remove it from the engine and couldn't figure it out. Its a 76 merc 850 thanks for any help

Gee, It is not too tough. The throttle cable unbolts (use 7/16" wrench) from the throttle arm. Use a 7/16 Socket to loosen the nut in the center of the cast aluminum fitting on the shift cable end. Now push the fitting aside and the cable will pop free.
