Need to get ignition module -found a part on ebay Sierra Part # 18-5106 the ebay ad says its for 8 cylinder.

I found in a sierra catalog that the 18-5107 supersedes the 18-5106

Can I use this part on my distributor?


I supposedly need Sierra Part # 18-5107
by the way the ad says i works on omc part #OMC #986650

Looks like the original OEM P.N. was 811637, superceded by 811637001. That crosses to a Mallory 9-29800 here on iboats; http://www.iboats.com/Boat_Parts_Ac...069947--submit.Search--submit.x.0--submit.y.0

18-5106 is being sold on ebay for half the price can i use 18-5106????

I'm going with...NO. I can't find any reliable source that says it will work on your application.
