Need help reading a ohm meter.

Bought this at Pep Boys. I guess you already need to know how to read one before you buy it because it doesn't come with any directions. No big deal because I only need to use it once and I am sure it will end up in the back of the tool box. What would I need to set it on to check the resistance of my coil? Bought a Pertronix ignition upgrade need to check to see if I need a ballast resister or not.

Thanks; nice cut and paste. Threw me a little though at first. The pointer is the square end but I get what you are saying. Thanks Again Mark

This is a common digital VOM sold under lots of names, go to HarborFreight.com and search for item 35761, download the manual and you're set, it's in PDF format, good luck,,,,,
