So my local dealers service department does not come back until the 19th and with the warm weather we have been having I am sure they will be slammed. Here is what I am thinking i need to do based on what I have read.

  1. put the plug in!!!!!!!!
  2. Hook up the water muffs and flush out the anti freeze
  3. Remove spark plugs and turn over the engine for a few times to remove the fogging oil - replace
  4. put the battery in and trickle charge for a few days
  5. make sure all hoses are connected (i don't think they removed any)

What else do i need to do for a 2004 mercruiser 3.0L?????? id love to get back on the water this weekend if it is going to be in the 70's

Hey Bassman, go down to the Mercruiser or Volvo Penta (depending on what type you have) and look in the info for DIY'ers. All the instuctions you need are there. I think Don S wrote them and he is the man when it comes to those things.Good luck!

i agree with the above post.

i dont usually pull the plugs.....i just fire it....and let the fog burn off.....

but start your battery charging in the basement now.
