The wires from the stator and trigger on my '80 175 are looking cracked.
I need some help with selecting a DVA meter. I have done some surfing including the CDI website, starting to get confused.

If you don't already have one go and buy a cheap DMM (Digital multimeter). You need it set on the '600 VOLTS' range (as shown in the drawing with the build instructions).

More questions, sorry. Should the DMM that I get have a DVA adapter? Not sure what that is either! LOL.

DMM = Digital MultiMeter
DVA = Direct Voltage Adapter (it reads peak voltage rather than average voltage)

If you buy a multimeter with a DVA you won't need to build a DVA.... :rolleyes::rolleyes:

Got it, I need a DMM with 600 volt capability. The adapter is the DVA itself assuming you don't build one.

Turns out my buddy has a Flike Multi Meter so we are going to build your DVA:D
