i have a 8hp mariner and i neee to buy a part for it but dont know te year can anyone help???<br />my serial number is S 026290<br /><br /><br />???????????

ENG: 00026290 7008208 1978 MARINER 8 M <br /> <br />as far as the part thing goes with merc/ mariner you use the serial # to get parts , not the year.
