I just bought a 15hp sea king outboard the mod# is vwb 52120 and serial # is 48x 1140 can someone please help me out and let me know wat year it is, thanks really appreciate some help
So I'm pretty sure it's a 1984 but now my real problem the guy I got the motor from said it had a plastic prop and it broke, so he had 1 from a 20hp laying around so it keeps the motor from Reving out, does any 1 kno were I could get the correct prop and wat pitch would be best for a 14 ft Klamath???
Check Michigan Wheel. They carry props for literally anything. Their catalog shows the various sizes and boat recommendations. Or, call their Customer Service Department and let an expert tell you what to purchase.
Usually the VWB prefix indicates a West Bend which was purchased by Chrysler around 65.
If yours is a 84 it is a Chrysler,If its a 85 or newer Its a Force I think they all use the same prop.
Michigan wheel is a good lead. They can probably tell you what would work on your boat even.
If you can determine the "standard" prop it should also work on the boat assuming it is a bare utility.
What diameter and pitch is the 20 hp prop?
Nothing listed here.
Check ebay for FP6477 fits 9.9 and 15 Chrysler/Force/Sears/and Sea King I believe all years.
