need help with a 140 Mercruiser

I have a 140 I/O merc and need to replace the prop shaft seal. Do I need special tools and also the nut behind the prop shaft is it left or right thread? Hopefully someone can help me.

Replacing the prop shaft seal is a difficult task. The bearing carrier nut is right hand thread.

Are you sure that is the leaking seal? Have you replaced all the other seals? They usually fail first.
