Need help with a parasitic battery drain

I have a 1998 Bayliner Capri 1950. I am having a parasitic draw and am having a difficult time locating the problem. I started by removing each fuse one at a time, but no success. Then I came back to the alternator and removed the purple/red wire and noticed the draw went away. I bought a new alternator, hooked it up and once again I have the same parasitic draw. Next I went to the starter and noticed that if I removed the purple/red wire it stopped the parasitic draw. I assume this is because it cut power off to everything on the purple/red line. I also removed the pur/red line from the starter solenoid relay, but the draw remained. Any ideas for what I can check next?

I have attached the wiring diagram of my boat for reference.

I would disconnect the large connector that feeds the harness to the rest of the boat. Right now you are chasing under the doghouse and the draw may be from the front.

How much of a constant draw do you have? Do you have any accessories with a constant draw, like radios with memory?

GA_Boater,

I have a draw of 88. I discounted anything in the front because I removed every fuse and disconnected the radio and I am still having the draw. The draw kills the battery in less than one week.

I am assuming that 88 means .088 amps. I realize you replaced the alternator, but it points to the alternator anyhow. Maybe have it tested at another place to verify it is good. Some times core units are not rebuilt using all new parts. They replace only parts that are bad. And for that reason, your regulator circuit can be causing the drain but still function to regulate the voltage when running. Even those same circuit are used to turn on warning light on the dash. So it still could be the alternator. JMHO

What function does the red/purple wire serve? Is it HOT (12vdc) all the time?
or
Only when the key is ON.
I'm thinking perhaps the key switch is defective and the ignition circuit is still live.

I had the same problem on a pontoon boat with a 90HP Force. Couldn't find it so I put a HF disconnect switch between the battery neg and the ground cable.
