just bought a 2000 9.9 4 stroke from a guy and the cables and harness were cut. I think it was repoed and he got the motor off before they got the boat but I'm not sure. Anyway anyone know if I can use standard Merc outboard controls back to what year. I don't see a large plug inside the motor just a pigtail with several wires. There also is another 2 or 3 conductor wire and ofcourse batt cables..This motor does 2 wire trim but that's no problem to figure out. Anyone know where I could get a wiring diagram? There is control box on ebay right for a 98 merc o/bd whould that work?<br />Thanks in advance
