Need Help with Flooring on 1998 Bayliner Capri

Just bought my first boat, fixed everything but the floor, can anyone tell me where to begin on replacing the floor?

I will put up some pics this afternoon, I know for sure that the area in between the seats of the bow is a hole in the flooring. I was told that in order to replace that portion you have to cut away the seats from the bow, fix the flooring and then fiber glass the seats back in, sounds like a pain, is there not an easier way of fixing that portion?

with most open bow boats, you need to split the top half from the bottom half to work under the bow. the halves meet at the rub rail. if you pop your rub rail out, drill out the rivets that are holding the 2 together, the upper portion will take the dash and open bow area with it leaving only the hull bottom with the deck (floor).

i'm re-doing mine and hoping to not split the halves. my bow area isn't too bad but i'm still digging away at what's under it to find out exactly what i have to work with.

it's got to be quicker to just split them but i don't have the room.

Ok, thanks I will try that when I get started. That should be the hardest part, is the rest of the boat easier, or is it just as hard? What is better to use for flooring that will never rot, I plan on having this boat for awhile, and I don't want to have to do this again if I can help it....
