Need Help with Hull Repair - Gelcoating

What you are looking at in this photo is the very front of the hull. It rubbed up against a dock a while back. What is the best way for me to prepare and repair this messed up spot? It does not have to be perfect and I want to do it myself. Thanks for any help

Ayuh,.... Sand it out abit with 1200 grt paper, 'n then buff, 'n wax it,...

Agreed, definitely try the approach stated above first and see if you are happy with the results. You can always go with more aggressive if you need to. One thing I would add though just in case you are new to sanding gelcoat, you only have about 1 mm think layer of gelcoat, so let the paper do the work not your muscles and use a sanding block
