I have a 1983 Glastron inboard/outboard. I'm trying to figure out any details of my engine and sterndrive. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Engine: 3.8 litre V6 OMC Model #J170STMRCIF
Sterndrive: OMC Model #982566

I haven't been able to find the correct manual to order parts or maintenance. I know it needs the oils in the sterndrive replaced but not sure what to use or how to perform the oil change. I have read through a few postings to try and figure it out. My sterndrive has 4 plugs 2 on upper and 2 on lower unit. Please help. Thanks

The only marine shop around wants to charge 90$ to answer any questions and West Marine only knows how to collect money.

Thanks, I at least can get part numbers. Funny how the boat is an 83 but the motor and sterndrive is an 81. Thanks again for the link. Do you know what type of oil to use in the upper and lower drive?
