Need Help with my 125 and 9.9 force please

Hello, I am very new to this so bear with me. I am the new owner of 1986 force motor and it is a 125 but it says us marine can someone please explain this to me? 2nd question can 5 hp gamefisher/force long shaft interchange with 9.9 force short shaft making the conversion?

On the 9.9 to 5HP long shaft conversion, It's not going to work as they are 2 different designs, nothing will bolt up.

Hi BD,

US Marine was the company who built your Force engine. Probably up to about 93' as a AMF Brunswick corporation. Soon they(Force) were owned by the Merc division and changes started to happen albeit slowly.
