I bought 2 electric heads made by five oceans for my 36 trojan tri-cabin and I need a little help with the install. These heads are new but came with absolutly no directions. I hooked them up and my problem is the water will not stop flowing into the bowl. there does not seem to be any kind of float switch that is visible and the motor is sealed so I dont know if there is any sort of valve in it. On the five oceans web site www.five-oceans.com there is a schematic that leads me to beleive I may have to have some sort of loop in the intake water line that has to be higher than the boats water level but It does not make much sence to me. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: need help with new electric heads

Here are the instructions: Looks pretty clear and there are three installations. We have no idea where your heads are located so you siimply use the diagram for your installation., Vented loops are another term for anti-siphon or siphon break. If you note the little nub at the very top of the loop, thats a vent that should siphon action occur, that vent opens to prent it. Yet when water is forced through it, it closes. It would also appear you need a solenoid valve in the intake line as shown.
