Need help with OMC outdrive

Help I been having issues with a so called mechanic he has had the boat with new engine now for 2 months, and its still not ready,, I am looking to find out the proper way to hook up the OMC outdrive with new seal..

I Have never done one before, so any help would be great and around here I can not find a manuel.

Hey there Temiskaming and welcome to iboat. I would suggest that you post your question in here http://forums.iboats.com/forumdisplay.php?f=445 There are some good guys on all of the forum and are willing to help you out. I would say that your mechanic is taking way to long bud, there is no reason for this unless he is needing parts as some parts for the OMC's are not that easy to come by. But you can ask all the questions that you would like and I am sure that you will get lots of help from the pro's around here.

I've never worked really with inboards before, I bought one in Feb., but I bought a manual online from Seloc last feb that is supposed to cover chevy OMC engines outdrives etc.. Can't be sure for another week, til I get home.
