Need help with OMC outdrive

Help I been having issues with a so called mechanic he has had the boat with new engine now for 2 months, and its still not ready,, I am looking to find out the proper way to hook up the OMC outdrive with new seal..

I Have never done one before, so any help would be great and around here I can not find a manuel.

There are a whole bunch of seals; you can go to a marina & ask for a seal kit both for lower & upper part of stern drive these will cover most. Then you need a manual also obtainale at a marina/dealer. My boats an 88 & I found the manual so it shouldn't be a stretch for you to find one.

I am sorry it is a 1978 starcraft with 351 OMC and has a Stringer outdrive, I have the seals I just not sure how to install them, and I have to put the outdrive back on boat

You need a manual. Search for tha actual OEM shop manual here: http://shop.ebay.com/i.html?_from=R...C+sterndrive+manual&_sacat=See-All-Categories

You can get the Solec, but it won't be nearly as good.

I got the Clymer manual from a local dealer,it should be easily available online.Covers '64 through '86,very thorough.
Be careful,as my '78 actually has a '77 drive in it.(Last year of the electric shift).

I can vouch for that Seloc comment, so far I'm not impressed with mine.
