Hey guys,

I've been digging into a few issues with a gen 6 502 with a VST type fuel system (low fuel pressure and surging/stalling coming off the throttle). Long story short, I was in the middle of replacing the IAC sensor and discovered some vent tube routing that doesn't make sense to me. Currently, the port that goes to the IAC on the bottom of the throttle body is T'd off into the vent lines for the mechanical fuel pump and the vent inlet on the top of the VST. The fuel pressure regulator (just replaced) has one short hose running to the bottom of the plenum.

How are the hoses supposed to be routed? I've searched all over and can not find any diagrams depicting this. Any input???

Thanks!

Your describing how the lines are routed. The one by the IAC does not go to the IAC its just close to it. The hole is very small in the fitting and is there so if the mechanical or VST start to leak, the fuel gets drawn into the intake. The regulator connects to the intake and the hole it that fitting is of regular size
