Need help with Yamaha 40

I have a 1988 Yamaha 40 hp elec start. I accidently connected the wrong battery cables and notice a small spark . I quickly disconnected them and connected them to the right terminals. Nothing worked, is there a fuse somewhere or did I do more damage than I care to think about?

Remove the black plastic cover next to the starter, should see a fuse holder in that area, maybe even a new fuse on the inside of the cover.
